Bid Type: Job Contract Locations: Windsor Keywords: Architect and Engineering (Building), Architect and Engineering (Non-Building), Construction (Building) Bid Description: The Town of Woodstock, VT, is accepting bids from qualified house moving/lifting contractors to elevate an existing two-story, 1,644 sq. ft. residential structure and two masonry chimneys approximately 8 feet in its current location. This project is part of a federally funded flood mitigation effort under the FY23 Flood Mitigation Assistance (FMA) Swift Current Program. The home is located within the Ottauquechee River Special Flood Hazard Area. Once elevated, a new crawlspace foundation will be constructed by others before the structure is lowered back into place. The awarded contractor will work in coordination with the Town, property owners, and other trades (excavation, concrete/foundation, framing) to ensure a safe, efficient lift and re-set of the home.
