Missoula Water is soliciting bids for services to replace the existing 100 HP vertical turbine lineshaft pump at 3090 Palmer Street South with a new 100 HP vertical turbine lineshaft pump, motor, and appurtenances. The Contractor shall provide all equipment (including crane services) and labor for removal of existing motor and pump, installation of a 100 HP pump and motor at a depth of 75-ft to the top of pump, including 10-inch column pipe, 10-ft tail pipe, 416 stainless steel shaft assembly, discharge head, and related components. The existing well casing is 16-inches in diameter. The well shall be mechanically and chemically cleaned as part of the project prior to installing the pump. The well pump, motor, and appurtenances shall be installed no later than April 1, 2026.
Contractors are encouraged to look at the site prior to bidding this work. Missoula Water personnel will provide entry to the well building upon request. Annotated photos and as-builts showing approximate dimensions are included in Appendix A. Missoula Water intends to replace the building piping after the well pump is installed. The Contractor does not have to connect the discharge head to the discharge piping.
