Notice is hereby given that the Sheriff’s Office of Siskiyou County, California, will receive bids for a
Whole-Body Security Scanner & Software System, for use at the Siskiyou County Jail located at 315
S. Oregon St, Yreka, CA 96097. Any bid received after the time and date listed below shall be
rejected by the evaluation committee.
Release Date of RFB: Tuesday, December 2nd, 2025 at 8:30am PST
Bids Due By: Tuesday, December 30th, 2025 at 4:30pm PST
Q&A period by electronic submission: Tuesday, December 2nd, 2025 through Friday,
December 12th, 2025
Mandatory Pre-Bid Walk Through: Walk-throughs are by appointment only, by contacting the
email address on Page 2. Appointments are available on Wednesday, December 3rd through
Friday, December 19th 2025. This walk through is mandatory unless a walk-through of similar
products and services has taken place within the last five (5) years. If you fit this scenario,
please provide documentation within your bid.
Project Description: The department is seeking bids for the purchase, delivery, and
installation of one (1) Whole-Body Scanner and Software System, or an approved
equivalent, meeting the following non-negotiable specifications:
1. Footprint: The system must meet the required compact footprint of 60 x 60 inches (or 152 x 152 cm)
2. The bid must be itemized by equipment, delivery, and professional
installation/integration into the secured facility.
3. Power: The system must operate on 100/120/230 VAC, 50/60 Hz, 800 watt power.
4. Ultra-Low Dose Radiation: The dose must be ultra-low, specifically 3.5 uRem (0.035
uSv) per screening. The system must comply with the ANSI/HPS N43-17-2009 radiation
safety standard and the IEEE N42.47-2010 performance standard.

5. Scanning Process: The system must be functional without the requirement of a moving
platform or conveyer belt during imaging.
6. Mobility: Bids must disclose if the system is transportable or not, and if any warranties
are applicable to damages resulting of mobility.
7. Magnification: The system shall produce images without magnification or distortion so
contraband may be easily visible to the operator.
8. Warranties: Include a warranty or support plan and disclosure of any reductions are
available for multi-year commitments.
9. Contact Information: Include a W9 signed within the last calendar year, name of
vendor representative, direct phone number and email address.
10. Cost: Bid must include Yreka, CA sales tax of 8.75% on applicable items, and disclose
any shipping/freight or handling costs separately from the system. Quote must be valid
no less than 30 days, 90 days is desirable.
General Information: The final signature process for the purchase order or contract is
contingent upon the vendor's electrical specifications being reviewed by a County approved
electrician and the required building modifications being completed.

Non-Discrimination: The Vendor shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national
origin, or sex in the performance of any awarded contract.
Conflict of Interest: Vendor covenants that it presently has no interest and shall not acquire
an interest, direct or indirect, financial or otherwise, which would conflict in any manner or
degree with the performance of the services hereunder. Vendor further covenants that, in the
performance of this Contract, no subcontractor or person having such an interest shall be used
or employed. Vendor certifies that no one who has or will have any financial interest under this
Contract is an officer or employee of the County.
Award of Contract: The award of the Contract, should it be awarded, will be to the lowest
responsive and responsible bidder or bidders whose Bid complies with all of the requirements
prescribed, based on what is in the best interest of the County. Such award, if made, will be
made within sixty (60) days after the opening of the sealed bids. The County of Siskiyou
reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities in the bidding. The
County reserves the right to award multiple contracts as a result of this Request for Bids (RFB).
