Construction Manager Services - Repair Leaks - MART Exterior Wall

The State University Construction Fund is seeking statements of qualifications from firms to provide Construction Manager (CM) Agency – Construction Phase Services for the Repair Leaks – MART Exterior Wall project at the State University of New York at Stony Brook.

The project is to repair leaks at exterior walls of the Medical Research Translation (MART) which is an eight-story, approximately 240,000 GSF building. The exterior walls of the MART have been leaking since their installation was completed. An investigation has found that water infiltration leaks were attributed to sealants not adhering different materials, some sealants that were past their use by date and urethane and silicone sealants will not bond, sealant was not installed at the metal panel stack joints, flashings at the window framing were not sealed and window flashing and sealant were not installed per the construction documents.

Submissions should emphasize the firm’s significant past experience in providing construction phase CM services for public institutions and institutional clients in a complete and expeditious manner

Construction duration from the Notice to Proceed to Substantial Completion of the construction contract is approximately fifty-one (51) months (forty-eight (48) month construction duration plus three (3) month closeout period)

The current estimated construction budget is approximately $70,697,000.
