Two Contracts as Follows: 1. Comprehensive Upgrade of WWTP ATAD Process and 2. Improvements to Existing Bolted Steel Tank

NOTICE TO BIDDERS

The City of Geneva (Owner) is requesting Bids for 2 separate construction projects located at the City WWTP at 45 Doran Avenue in Geneva.

In accordance with Section 103 of Article 5-A of the General Municipal Law, sealed Bids for the construction of the Projects will be received at the City Clerk’s office, located at 47 Castle Street, Geneva, NY 14456, until June 26, 2025, at 2:00 PM local time. At that time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.

Project #1 includes the following Work:

A comprehensive upgrade of the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) Autothermal Aerobic Thermophilic Digestion (ATAD) process, including changes to buildings, processes, and equipment. Separate sealed Bids should be labeled as follows for Project #1:

Contract #1: General Construction - ATAD

Contract #2: Electrical Construction – ATAD

Contract #3: HVAC Construction – ATAD

Contract #4: Plumbing Construction – ATAD

Project #2 includes the following Work:

Improvements to an existing bolted steel tank including replacement of the existing domed roof with a new one, modification of several bolted steel side panels, replacement of the existing ladder and safety cage with new ones, and other work. A single sealed bid for all work associated with Project #2 should be labelled as follows:

Each project has an expected duration of 400 days.

Interested contractors can obtain Information and Bidding Documents for the Projects from the following website:

Bidding Documents may be downloaded from the website for a non-refundable fee per Avalon. Prospective Bidders are urged to register with the designated website as a plan holder, even if Bidding Documents are obtained from a plan room or source other than the designated website in either electronic or paper format. The designated website will be updated periodically with addenda, lists of registered plan holders, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through the designated website. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the designated website.

Paper copies of the Bidding Documents may be examined at the offices of MRB Group (The Culver Road Armory, 145 Culver Road, Suite 160, Rochester, N.Y. 14620), and the City of Geneva (47 Castle Street, Geneva, NY 14456, at Engineers Office), on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 9:00 AM and 3:30 PM. Bidding Documents will not be available from MRB Group or the Owner.

A pre-bid conference for both Projects will be held on June 4, 2025 at 9:00 AM in the WWTP conference room located at 45 Doran Avenue, Geneva, NY 14456. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is encouraged, but not required.

The City of Geneva, NY, reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to waive any informalities, or to make an award to other than the low bidder. It further reserves the right to limit the amount of the award.

Attention of the bidders is particularly directed to the requirements of the conditions of employment to be observed and minimum Wage Rates to be paid under the Contract.

The City of Geneva does not discriminate on the basis of handicapped status in admission or access to, or treatment or employment in, its programs and activities.

Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
