Questions and Responses for Clubhouse Signage
Will you provide an electrical distribution board & conduit near the monument sign?
An electric handhole is provided near the eastern driveway monument signage.
Are electrical permits required for this project?
Depending on the final scope of work, an electrical permit may be required.
Removal and installation of signage need to be completed in a single mobilization or
multiple trips?
Multiple mobilizations are allowed. No removal is required – see question below.
Does the Buy America requirement apply to this project?
No
Are the Engineered drawings required as part of the submission or after the award?
Engineering drawings would be developed in coordination with Village sta after the
award. Design and permitting is included in the scope of work.
Confirmation: Should submission be via email or mail?
All submissions should be submitted as sealed bids via mail or in person at Village
Hall located at 675 Village Court, Glencoe, IL 60022 by June 30, 2026 at 11:00am
CST.
Is the removal of old signs part of the scope of work?
No – Village sta will be responsible for removing existing signage.
What is the expected extent of landscaping as mentioned in Section 2 of the SOW?
Restore existing landscaping. No new landscaping design is included in this scope
of work.
For Signage to be compliant, where can we find the Village of Glencoe signage
codes and Forest Preserves of Cook County requirements?
Village of Glencoe signage requirements are only applicable if monument signs are
placed on private property – not within the public rights-of-way. The golf club is in a
residential district, so section H1 is applicable. The design specifications as
outlined in this RFP are proposed to be in compliance with all existing requirements.

Forest Preserves of Cook County requires a prominent display of their name and
logo per the Intergovernmental Agreement between the Village and the Forest
Preserves of Cook County for the land use of the clubhouse.

Confirmation: Is an electrical connection to Sign 2 and 3 not required?
Electrical connection to Locations 2 & 3 is not required. Sta would like to explore
lighting for these locations via new electrical connections or solar powered.
Can we use the faux brick for the monument stack stone Design?
Village sta is open to reviewing design alternatives and solutions that align with the
proposed architecture of the new golf clubhouse.

Can you please share the files mentioned in Exhibits A and B.
CAD files will be available upon request. Please email
stellan@glencoegolfclub.com for a copy of the files. High resolution logos will be
provided to the awarded contractor.
To assist with our proposal, please provide the CAD files and complete
specifications for the monument signs.

developed in association with the final design.
