Project Description: Hamburg Municipal Authority, Berks County, PA will receive sealed bids online via PennBid for the Hauling and Disposal of Aerobically Digested Liquid Sewage Sludge – Contract ‘A’ and Hauling and Disposal of Dewatered Sewage Sludge – Contract ‘B’ until 11:00 A.M. prevailing time, on November 18, 2025, after which time, Bids will be opened with results displayed publicly on PennBid. The consideration of the apparent low Bidder will be at the regularly scheduled Authority meeting to be held at 5:00 P.M. prevailing time on November 19, 2025.

All bidders must submit bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%).
The successful bidder (Contractor) for each Contract will be required to execute the Agreement and to furnish a “Performance Bond” on the respective forms provided in the Contract Documents. The Contractor also will be required to furnish evidence of insurance coverage as required by the Contract Documents.
Bidders should refer to provisions of federal and state statutes, rules and regulations dealing with prevention of environmental pollution and the preservation of public, natural resources that affect the project.
Any BID received after the time and date specified shall not be considered. No BID may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the above specified date for receiving, opening, and reading of BIDS, except as specifically provided by law. Hamburg Municipal Authority reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all Bids, and to delete any item or portion of an item without affecting the bids on the remaining items or portion of items. The above invitation to Bidders is made for the benefit of Hamburg Municipal Authority, Berks County, PA and no rights shall be deemed to accrue to any person making a Bid by reason of the submission of any bid hereunder or by waiver or non-enforcement of any provision of requirement of this invitation.
Any BID may be withdrawn prior to the above scheduled time for the opening of BIDS or authorized postponement thereof.
