The VA is seeking QUALIFIED VENDORS to provide a very brief response to this notice including only just what is asked for in this notice below. This is sources sought notice to industry and the only information is posted on Contract Opportunities web page at SAM.gov. Sources sought means seeking qualified vendors. The attachments included on the Contract Opportunities page do not include any additional information.

BRIEF SCOPE OF WORK
(This is for information Only)
IMPORTANT NOTE: This Sources Sought is for market research purposes only (to determine the socioeconomic status of interested companies). No award will be made off this posting.
The Salt Lake City VAMC is looking to purchase one electric flat bed cart. The cart needs to have an AC Motor with at least 6.0 hp, Integrated charging cable, Tires with a minimum B load gauge, taillights, battery gauge, horn, back-up alarm, and intergraded Deadman switch . A flat bed with removable siding or gates is required for transferring large amounts of cargo, and ease of unloading. Minimum 2-year warranty to start upon receipt of cart. Electric carts should seat no more than one (1) employee. Max Speed: 10 MPH. Minimum load compacity: 1,400 lbs. A bright color such as yellow or orange is requested for high visibility while driving both inside and outside the facility.

MOTOR CONTROL UNIT: motor controller unit meeting industry standards.
BATTERIES: Standard: Six 8-volt batteries.
CHARGER: Intergraded in the Cart
OVERALL LENGTH: Not to exceed 80 inches. Critical due to driving in George E. Wahlen Tunnel System
OVERALL WIDTH: Not to exceed 30. Critical for navigating through doorways.
MAXIMUM FORWARD SPEED: 10 MPH
MAXIMUM TURNING RADIUS 6 ft This is required as vehicle will for most of the time, be committed to driving in VA Medical Center tunnels.
MAX PAYLOAD 1400lbs
Traction Voltage: 36 Volt DC
Battery Type: 210 amp-hour, 6 Volt, Lead Acid.
Includes DC charging system that can connect to a standard household 15 Amp electrical circuit.
