Solicitation Description:

Requestfor Proposal – RFP 2024-077, IH 35 Bridge Lighting. Sealed Proposals will beaccepted at the City of Waco’s Operations Center, 1415 N. 4 th Street, Waco, TX until 2:00 P.M., Thursday, November 14, 2024. Theexisting bridge lighting system for the IH35 frontage road bridges wereinstalled in 2015. Currently approximately 50% of the bridge lighting is notworking. Additionally, the system requires specializedequipment and processes to access, which make it difficult to regularlymaintain. The City of Waco desires to increase durability against weather andmoisture; improve usage and maintenance; and improve reliably of the bridgelighting system. The City of Waco, TX is seeking proposals from qualifiedvendors to purchase bridge lighting fixtures and controllers, including allcomponents. As part of this Proposal, the vendor shall develop the installationand wiring diagrams for these components, completed by a licensed professional engineerin the state of Texas, and colored rendering of the proposed design. The vendorshould submit a detailed proposal that includes the description, design, cost,delivery, references, experience, and operation/maintenance of the material andservices. The City of Waco will evaluate the proposals based on the quality, cost-effectiveness, responsiveness, and compliance of the vendor.

Once the City of Waco completed the Request for Proposals process, selects a vendor, and receives council approval, the City of Waco will purchase the equipment. The vendor will then deliver the equipment to the City of Waco where the City of Waco will inspect if for any deficiencies.

The vendor shall also be available during the installation of the equipment to provide support.
