Description

INTRODUCTION:
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) anticipates soliciting bids and subsequently awarding a single Firm-Fixed-Price contract for the Design-Bid-Build Construct Addition and Renovate Building 3 for Pharmacy and ADA Parking minor construction project at the Wichita VA Medical Center (VAMC) located at 5500 E Kellogg Dr, Wichita, KS 67218.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Project will construct new 3 story, 2,500 sf per floor, addition to the building for right sizing Pharmacy. Also renovating 14,151 sf of the existing building and correcting ADA noncompliant Internal and External spaces. Project will reconfigure parking lots and entrances in front of buildings 1, 3,29, 61 and 4 to correct building access for handicap accessibility, increase parking near outpatient pharmacy, and correct roadway circulation. Expand Covered parking and solar array on parking canopy.
ADMINISTRATIVE:
The solicitation will be issued as an Invitation for Bid (IFB) conducted in accordance with FAR Part 14 and will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures listed in the solicitation. The solicitation will be advertised as a total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set-aside. Offers received from other than SDVOSB concerns will not be considered. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220 with a size standard of $39.5 million. The solicitation will be issued in early to late-June of 2025. The period of performance is approximately 548 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. In accordance with VAAR 836.204, the magnitude of construction is between $10,000,000 and $20,000,000. This notice is not a request for competitive offers.
