Overview
Summary

The Northern Kentucky counties of Boone, Kenton, and Campbell, along with the cities of Florence, Covington, Independence, Edgewood, Villa Hills, Fort Mitchell, Taylor Mill, Alexandria, and Highland Heights (hereinafter referred to as the Local Public Agencies (LPAs)), are soliciting proposals from qualified consultants to conduct a comprehensive condition assessment of public roadways. The collaborative approach includes approximately 1,281 centerline miles of roads.

The scope of work includes the development of an ESRI-compatible GIS inventory of all public roadways within the study area, high-resolution video capture of each roadway segment, and a detailed pavement condition assessment conforming to the latest ASTM D6433 standard. Deliverables will include a final report with inventory and condition data provided in shapefile and MS Excel formats, designed to support querying and custom reporting. Additionally, the report will feature a summary of pavement rehabilitation recommendations tailored to align with each agency's budget constraints, service level objectives, and preferred rehabilitation methods.

Goals

The collective agencies within Northern Kentucky aim to leverage a joint effort to collect comprehensive and standardized roadway data. This collaboration seeks to reduce costs for each participating agency, promote consistency in pavement management practices across jurisdictions, and enhance the overall quality and efficiency of our regional transportation system for the benefit of all residents and stakeholders.
