CRH-2024-030-A-Suite Access Controls at Sir Douglas Bader Towers
Sir Douglas Bader Towers is a 13-floor apartment building built in 1980. It consists of 79 suites ranging from studio to 2 bedrooms.

The goal of this project is to procure a vendor to design, supply and install a suite access system to all suite doors in the building. This system is to conform to Civida’s existing security specifications using Salto devices as outlined in Appendix ‘A’.

The existing suite doors have a deadbolt and entrance lever. The lever is to be replaced with the specified Salto device. The dead bolt is to be removed, and a secure cover installed in its place. Some suites have nonfunctioning electric strikes from an original system. These are to be removed and replaced with a conventional strike to accommodate the new Salto device.

As specified in Appendix ‘A’, the new access control system is to be remotely accessible. Access control system training shall be provided to Civida.
