Purpose of Procurement
Pursuant to the State Purchasing Act (Official Code of Georgia Annotated 50-5-50 et seq.), this electronic Request for Proposals (eRFP) is being issued to establish a contract with a qualified supplier who will provide Grounds Services to Georgia Highlands College (the State Entity) as further described in this eRFP.
Georgia Highlands College is seeking proposals for Grounds Maintenance services for the college's campuses located in Rome, Cartersville, and Dallas, Georgia. Georgia Highlands College may award multiple suppliers for this event.
This institution is part of the University System of Georgia. Georgia Highlands College opened in 1970. The student population of GHC is approximately 4500. These campuses employ approximately 330 full-time faculty and staff.
The Rome/Floyd Campus is located at 3175 Cedartown Highway, Rome, Georgia 30161.
The Cartersville Campus and Athletic Complex is located at 5441 GA-20, Cartersville, Georgia 30121.
The Dallas Campus is located at 25 Courthouse Square, Dallas, Georgia 30132
The Heritage Hall Campus is located at 415 E. 3rd Avenue, Rome, Georgia 30161.More detailed information regarding GHC can be found on its website at http://www.highlands.edu/.
Landscape & Grounds Maintenance
I. PRD: Supplier will provide labor, equipment, tools required for grounds maintenance at Georgia Highlands College (GHC). GHC reserves the right to add or subtract properties as needed, contract will be amended accordingly.
A. Lawn Care
i. Mowing:
a. All grassed areas within the designated confines of each listed property.
b. Mowing will occur on the following schedule:
i. April through September - Weekly
ii. October through March - Bi-Weekly
c. Keep grass at a height of 2 ½ inches high. This height maybe altered per the discretion of the designated College representative.
