Grading, Drainage, Base & Pavement Improvements to serve 17 Ave. NW & 17th Ave. NE

Sealed Bids for the construction of the Grading, Drainage, Base & Pavement Improvements to serve 17 Ave. NW & 17th Ave. NE (A.K.A. Long Branch Church Road) will be received, by Grady County Board of Commissioners, at 33 17th Ave NW, Cairo, GA 39827, until 11:00 AM, Friday, December 6, 2024, local time, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. No bid may be withdrawn after the closing time for receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days. The work to be done shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to construct the proposed Grading, Drainage, Base & Pavement Improvements to serve 17 Ave. NW & 17th Ave. NE (A.K.A. Long Branch Church Road) as shown on the construction drawings. In general, construction consists of 0.77 miles of grading, base, drainage, and pavement construction as shown on the construction drawings, and all associated measures for the complete project. Time allotted for completion of work is 180 consecutive calendar days to substantial completion. Work shall be complete and ready for contract close-out with 194 consecutive calendar days. All work shall be completed in accordance with the plans and specifications. The work will be awarded in one (1) Contract. Copies of Bidding Documents for bidding purposes can be obtained from Watkins & Associates, L.L.C., 1606 Whiddon Mill Road, Tifton, Georgia 31793, Phone: (229) 388-8823, (Office of the Engineer) upon payment of $300.00 for each set (non-refundable). Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Grady County Board of Commissioners, located at 33 17th Ave NW, Cairo, GA 39827 or at Watkins & Associates, LLC on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8 A.M. and 5 P.M. Upon request and receipt of the document payment indicated above, Watkins & Associates, LLC will transmit the Bidding Documents via delivery service. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents.
