RFP Security Appliance

The Town of Hartford is accepting proposals for the planning, testing, installation, and overall

purchase of an intrusion detection and intrusion prevention (IDS/IPS) solution. The winning solution

and product should have full capabilities to monitor network traffic across the town’s various networks

both internally and externally, as well as laterally. The product must be able to monitor, report,

quarantine in real-time security incidents including but not limited to malware, adware, ransomware,

anomaly-based, and DLP based events. The solution must have autonomous response capability,

augmented with analyst human interaction from a 24/7 Security Operations Center.

Submissions must include two (2) paper copies delivered in a sealed envelope and clearly marked

“IDS/IPS TOWN OF HARTFORD PROPOSAL RFP” and one (1) electronic copy (in PDF format) of

the response to this request shall be provided for review and must be valid for a minimum of ninety (90)

days following submission. RFP must be received by the Town of Hartford no later than 1:00 pm (EST)

on 3/21/2025. They will be reviewed at that time.
