PART 1: GENERAL

Competitive Cost Sealed Bids
Separate sealed Bids for construction of Bear Branch Pump Station Upgrades Phase II for the City of Perry (Bid Number 2025-32) will be received until May 14, 2025 at 10:15a.m. in Perry City Hall, 1211 Washington Street, Perry, GA 31069. Bids will then be publicly opened and read aloud at said office. Any bid received after May 14, 2025 at 10:15a.m. will not be considered by the Owner. Following the closing time for the receipt of bids no bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days.

Scope of Work
The work to be performed and provided under this Contract shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, safety equipment, permitting, erosion and sedimentation control measures, taxes, profit, overhead, and other costs and effort required to complete the following:
Cleaning and relining of the two (2) existing wet wells. Removal of existing packaged pump station. Installation of new packaged suction lift pump station, suction and discharge piping, and associated electrical and instrumentation and controls improvements. Connect discharge piping to existing force main. Remove and replace emergency bypass connection. Install generator to provide backup power to the pump station. Install new 4-inch water service line. Connect to existing water service line. Install a water meter, backflow prevention device, and yard hydrant. Remove and replace chain link fencing as necessary for construction. The time allotted for final completion of work is 120 consecutive calendar days.
Contractor will be required to coordinate all work with the City of Perry and other utility owners who have facilities within the project corridor. The project will be managed by GWES, LLC. located at 733 Carroll Street, Perry, GA 31069, telephone number (478) 235-0307.
All Work shall be completed in accordance with the plans and specifications. The Work will be awarded in one (1) Contract.
