APEX Accelerators are an official government contracting resource for small businesses. Find your local APEX Accelerator (opens in new window) for free government expertise related to contract opportunities.
APEX Accelerators are funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the Department of Defense.
The APEX Accelerators program was formerly known as the Procurement Technical Assistance Program (opens in new window) (PTAP).
The Government intends to award a sole source procurement under RFO 12.102(a) to Cepheid to provide GeneXpert IV-4 Xpress Site Systems, (GXIV-4-CLIA) and compatible Black and White Printers to support the Dayton VA Medical Center (VAMC) in Dayton, OH. This contract action is for supplies for which the Government is soliciting only one source under the authority of RFO 12.102(a). Accordingly, the Government will negotiate directly with Cepheid, as necessary. A determination not to compete this requirement is within the discretion of the Government.
Interested sources may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government on future procurements. Response to this synopsis is not required.
All inquiries and concerns must be sent to Contract Specialist Benjamin Reza via e-mail to Benjamin.Reza@va.gov.
