Synopsis:
|
|
SRC is seeking proposals from qualified robotics OEMs and system integrators to conduct a feasibility study focused on automating several manual operations associated with metal smelting furnaces at its Rare Earth Processing Facility. This study will serve as the foundation for a future automation implementation project aimed at enhancing safety, productivity, and process consistency.

The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to evaluate the technical, operational, and economic feasibility of automating key manual operations, including but not limited to:

Metal scooping and pouring
-
Anode replacement
-
Molten metal stirring
-
Scraping walls and removing slag from the bottom
-
Skimming impurities from molten metal
-
Removing ingots from molds
-
Downstream ingot processing & packaging
