Description: |
The Pennsylvania (PA), Department of Labor and Industry (DLI), Bureau of Disability Determination (BDD) is seeking an Offeror to provide Consultative Examinations (CE) and Ancillary Testing services, in making disability determinations for claimants of Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) Benefits.
The PA, DLI, BDD adjudicates claims for SSDI and SSI Benefits under an agreement with the Social Security Administration (SSA). As part of BDD’s adjudicative process, disability claims adjudicators obtain medical evidence from the claimant’s medical sources. When these sources cannot or will not provide sufficient evidence to decide, the Claims Adjudicator may order a CE and/or ancillary testing. The information obtained from the CE and/or any ancillary testing is used to assist the BDD staff in deciding of disability under SSA regulations and guidelines. The selected Offeror will be responsible for providing CE and/or ancillary testing services at the request of the BDD for all SSDI and SSI claimants. This RFP does have Goal Setting Participation (Small Diverse Business (SDB) and Veteran Business Enterprise (VBE)). Therefore, the Issuing Office will hold an SDB and VBE Goal Information Session for this RFP which we highly recommend you attend. The purpose of this Session is to provide an overview of the RFP and SDB and VBE Participation submission instructions.
