Recyclable/Non-recyclable Waste Disposal Pickup Dumpsters

INTENT

It is the intent of this Invitation for Bids to have provided by the contractor recycling and waste disposal pickup service from recyclable and non-recyclable dumpsters at various City sites located within the City of Kalamazoo. Pickup and disposal service shall be provided on a regularly scheduled weekly basis from dumpsters and containers furnished by the Contractor. Locations, dumpster sizes and pickup frequencies are provided below. The City reserves the right to award this contract to the bidder that provides more complete recycling services, whatever is in the best interest of the City.

CONTRACT PERIOD AND EXTENSIONS

The contract shall be in effect for a two (2) year six (6) month period commencing on or about June 1, 2026, and expires on December 31, 2028, subject to availability of funds and the following renewal and/or cancellation options. The City may opt to extend this contract for up to three (3) additional (1) one-year periods. Extensions shall not exceed three (3) one-year periods. All extensions shall be upon mutual agreement of both parties with all provisions of the original contract or any addenda and extensions remaining in full force and effect.

PRICES AND DELIVERY

All unit prices shall be inclusive of delivery to each specified location. No fuel/energy surcharges or delivery charges will be accepted. Any additional charges of any kind are strictly prohibited.

UNIT PRICE(S)

Unit prices shall remain firm for the entire term of the contract.
