General: Remove and replace upholstery on Department of Public Works (DPW), Transportation Maintenance
Division (TMD), Thomas built / Bluebird school buses. Actual dimensions may vary by up to 2 inches (2 inches) from
the measurements specified in this solicitation.
SPECIFICATIONS: BIDDING ON/REMARKS
Bidder shall remove and replace old unserviceable school bus seats,
back rest cover and foam, to include but not limited to Driver's seat
assembly mounting, hardware, and plywood. ___________________
Bidder shall ensure all material used for this scope shall be
new and unused such as but not limited to seat cover upholstery,
back rest, foam cushion and plywood. ___________________
Bidder shall ensure all cover colors, thickness, and quality of
materials must match the originals. ___________________
Bidder shall ensure materials are fire retardant as per Federal
Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS 302) and Bidder shall provide
proof. ___________________
In the event bidder encounters other repairs outside of this scope
that are needed, DPW, TMD personnel must be notified prior to
performing repairs. ___________________
Bidder shall allow DPW, TMD to inspect bidder's workmanship
from the shop while the bus are being prepared. ___________________
School buses will be delivered to the Bidder's facility by DPW, TMD.
Bidder shall contact DPW, TMD once repairs are completed for inspection
and acceptance. ___________________
Bidder shall be responsible for any damages that may occur
to School buses while in Bidder's facility. ___________________
Bidder shall be responsible for the disposal of all used/old materials
and debris replacement during the scope of work by following
Guam EPA regulations. ___________________
Warranty: Bidder shall provide one (1) year guarantee for
workmanship and materials. Warranty shall start at the date of
acceptance from DPW, TMD. ___________________
These specifications have been developed by the staff of the Department of Public Works, Transportation
Maintenance Division and approved by Vincent P. Arriola, Director.
