ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Sealed or electronic bids for the construction of TRAIL & DOCK IMPROVEMENTS for the City of Pontotoc, MS will be

received by the Board of Alderman at the City Hall, 116 N. Main St., Pontotoc, MS 38863, until November 24,

2025, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud at 2:00 p.m. Sealed bids will be received until the

designated date and time at City Hall. Electronic bids will also be received until the designated date and time via

electronic online bid submission through www.esiplans.com.

Copies of the plans and documents may be viewed and/or purchased at Engineering Solutions, Inc. plan room at

www.esiplans.com.

The work shall consist of: Construction of TRAIL & DOCK IMPROVEMENTS including grading, drainage, and

paving, as well as replacement of decking and railing on existing docks at Stafford Park Lake.

Each bid submitted must be marked on the outside “Bid for: TRAIL & DOCK IMPROVEMENTS for City of Pontotoc,

MS. Any bid in excess of $50,000 must contain on the outside of the envelope the contractor’s current certificate of

responsibility number, and no bid shall be opened or considered unless this number appears on the outside of the

envelope or unless a statement is included on the outside of the envelope indicating that the bid enclosed does not

exceed $50,000.

A satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder or an accepted Surety, a certified check, or bank draft payable to the

CITY OF PONTOTOC, on negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (at par value), shall be submitted with each bid in an

amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid.

Minority and women’s business enterprises are solicited to bid on this contract as prime contractors and are

encouraged to make inquiries regarding potential subcontracting opportunities, equipment, materials and/or supply

needs. The City of Pontotoc is an Equal Opportunity Employer and hereby notifies all bidders that it will

affirmatively insure that in a contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement will be afforded the full opportunity

to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color,

religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, sexual preference, marital or veteran status or any other legally

protected status in consideration for an award.

Bids may be held up to 60 days from the date of opening for review of bids and qualifications of bidders prior to

Contract award. The Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality in

the bidding.
