Project Description: Sealed bids will be received through PennBid by East Vincent Township for CULVERT REPLACEMENT AT KEEN ROAD until 10:00 am, prevailing time, on the 20th day of NOVEMBER 2024, at which time and place they will be opened and the bid results posted on PennBid. All documents and solicitations details are available online anytime at no cost at PennBid™ (www.pennbid.bonfirehub.com). Note, PennBid assesses a fee to the bidder who is issued the award.
Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to the Owner in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid or bids. Only bonds from companies licensed to do business in the State where the Owner is located will be accepted and the bond shall so state same.
This contract includes providing all labor, materials and equipment to complete the removal and replacement of the four existing culverts under Keen Road between Lake Drive and MacBride Drive in East Vincent Township, PA and all site improvement related to the culvert replacement work. Project includes replacement of the existing corrugated metal pipe with elliptical reinforced concrete pipe (RCP), replacement of existing guide rail on the south side of Keen Road and the removal of guide rail on the northern side of Keen Road, replacement of a 1 – 30 inch diameter corrugated metal pipe, 2- 15 inch diameter corrugated metal pipes and 1 – 18 diameter HDPE corrugate pipe with concrete reinforcement with 1 – 30 inch diameter HDPE pipe, 2- 15 inch diameter HDPE pipes and 1 – 18 diameter HDPE pipe, installation of a control structure and two headwalls, installation of grade control structures and bank stabilization measures and pavement replacement, placement of rip rap scour protection, restoration of all disturbed areas during construction and any and all work as shown on the plans titled, Keen Road Culvert Replacement Project prepared by Princeton Hydro, LLC last revised November 1, 2024. The elliptical culvert has a stream traveling through it. The contractor will be responsible for bypassing the flow while the culvert is being replaced. The eastern culverts collect runoff and are typically dry. The contractor is also responsible for any and all traffic control measures required during this project.
A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for 11:00 A.M., November 11, 2024, at the intersection of Keen Road and MacBride Drive East Vincent Township, PA 19475.
Bids must be submitted unconditionally. No bidder may withdraw bid within SIXTY (60) days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids.
The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities, or to reject any or all bids.
