Project Description: Work to be constructed hereunder is located at Freedom Park in Drums, PA 18222.
Bids shall be received by Butler Township online via PennBID or hardcopies at the Butler Township Municipal Building, located at 83 Corporate Drive Drums, PA 18222 until 11:00 A.M. local time on November 21, 2024. All Bids must be submitted on forms supplied by the Owner, and shall be enclosed in one (1) envelope which shall be sealed and clearly labeled with the words “Bid Documents”, project number, name of Bidder, and date and time of Bid opening in order to guard against premature opening of a Bid. Bids will be reviewed at a Butler Township Special Meeting being held on November 21, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. Thereafter, Bid results will be available online at https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com.
The bid of an individual must be signed by him personally, his signature must be witnessed; and his business address and any business trade name must be stated. The Bid of a partnership must state the names and addresses of all partners, and the partnership business name and address; and it must be signed by at least one partner, with the signature witnessed. The bid of a corporation must show the state of incorporation and the principal office address, and must be signed by the President or Vice President, with the corporate seal affixed, attested by the Secretary or Assistant Secretary.
More than one (1) proposal or one (1) contract, from an individual, a firm or partnership, corporation, or an association under the same name or different names will not be considered.
The Work related to the Butler Township Municipal Garage/Office Project comprises of the excavation for the proposed building pads; construction of footers; foundation; preparations for future utilities/conduit under concrete slab floor; electric, gas, water, drains, sinks, showers, restrooms, grease trap; exterior building shell construction, insulation, siding; windows, doors, roof trusses, steel roof panels, cupolas and lawn restoration; Eldorado stone veneer; per the plan elevations, workmanship and all appurtenances for a complete job and in accordance with these Contract Documents. This Project is being financed in part by a grant from the COVID-19 ARPA Local Fiscal Recovery Funding and general fund monies. PA Prevailing Wage rates apply to this project.
Time is of the essence. The Work must be substantially completed, signed, dated and approved on the Notice of Substantial Completion Form by the Engineer, Contractor and Owner within 120 calendar days after the commencement date stated in the Notice to Proceed. Liquidated damages will be assessed for each calendar day for failure of the Contractor to substantially complete the Work within the calendar days reserved for the Contract and/or for failure to sign and date the Notice of Substantial Completion Form.
There shall be no pre-bid walk through of the Project Site.
