General Description
The City of Greenville Transit Department is accepting SEALED BIDS for the purchase
and, if applicable, installation of one (1) pressure washer for use at our bus garage
facility.
We are considering both stationary and portable pressure washer units; however, our
preference is for a wall-mounted stationary unit where the proposed equipment is
appropriate for the available installation space and intended use. The unit will be used
primarily for washing public transportation buses/floor in our indoor bus garage weekly.
Vendors are encouraged to recommend equipment that best meets the requirements
below and to clearly identify any installation, utility, or site requirements associated with
the proposed unit.

Submission of Bids
Please submit your sealed bids using the attached bid form, as well as all other requested
information. One copy of the bid shall be delivered to:

All responses must be clearly labeled – Pressure Washer Bid–
Each bid should include:
1. Manufacturer and model number of the proposed pressure washer
2. Product specifications and technical documentation
3. Identification of the unit as stationary or portable
4. Warranty information
5. Estimated delivery/installation timeframe
6. Any assumptions or conditions associated with the proposed bid
7. Contact information for the bidding representative
Pricing
Bidders shall provide a complete and itemized price proposal on the response sheet.
Pricing should include, at a minimum, identification of: pressure washer equipment,
delivery/freight, installation, electrical requirements/upgrades, gas/fuel
requirements/upgrades, ventilation requirements/upgrades, plumbing/water/drainage
requirements, other required site modifications, and additional costs.
If an item does not apply to the proposed equipment, bidders should indicate N/A
rather than leaving the field blank. No sales tax should be added to bid due to City of
Greenville’s tax exempt status.

Bid Evaluation
Bids may be evaluated based on, but not necessarily limited to:
Compliance with requested specifications
Suitability for the intended application (bus and facility washing)
Preference for a wall-mounted stationary unit
Equipment, performance and features
Installation and utility requirements
Warranty coverage
Delivery and installation timeframe
Manufacturer and bidder experience
Total installed cost
Overall value to the organization
The organization reserves the right to request clarification or additional information
from any bidder as necessary to evaluate a proposal. The City will review submitted
bids and other relevant information. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any
response for any or no reason and to waive any minor irregularity if determined to be
in the best interest of the City of Greenville.
Equipment Requirements
Bidders shall provide pricing and specifications for one (1) pressure washer meeting
the following requirements:
Equipment Type: Stationary preferred; portable units will also be considered.
Manufacturer and Model: Provide manufacturer name and specific model number.
Operating Specifications: Include relevant pressure (min. 2400PSI), flow rate (min.
3.5GPM), horsepower, and other applicable performance specifications.
Power/Fuel Requirements: Clearly identify all electrical, gas, fuel, water,
ventilation, drainage, or other utility requirements.
Accessories: Including but not limited to: 40’ hose (minimum) with reel or wall
mounted boom, nozzles, ergonomic wand(s), downstream soap injection
system/chemical valve, etc
Installation Requirements: Identify any site modifications or additional installation
requirements necessary for proper and safe operation.
Warranty: State the manufacturer's warranty and any additional warranty provided
by the bidder.
Lead Time: State the anticipated delivery and installation timeframe.

Installation and Site Requirements
The successful bidder shall identify all installation requirements associated with the
proposed equipment.
If the proposed unit requires additional electrical service, gas service, ventilation,
plumbing, drainage, structural modifications, or other site work, the bidder shall clearly
identify those requirements and provide associated costs on the price sheet.
Bidders shall not assume that required utility upgrades or site modifications are
included in the equipment price unless specifically stated. All additional costs should
be itemized so that the organization can accurately evaluate the total project cost bid
sheet.
The available installation space and site information is provided below to interested
bidders. Alternatively, a representative can be made available for an in-person site
visit to view and measure the proposed installation area.
Bidders who require additional information regarding the installation location are
encouraged to request the available site information or arrange an on-site visit before
submitting a bid.
Bidders should clearly state any assumptions made in preparing their proposal. Any
equipment or installation requirement that could result in an additional cost should be
identified in the response sheet.
The City of Greenville reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to select
the proposal determined to be in the best interest of the organization. Installation-
space information, including measurements and other relevant details, can be
provided electronically. Bidders may also request an in-person site visit for the
purpose of viewing and measuring the proposed installation area.
Bidder Investigation
Prior to submission of the BID, all BIDDERS shall make, and shall be deemed to have
made a careful examination of the site and the purpose. Each BIDDER is responsible
for inspecting the site and for reading the BID DOCUMENTS to become thoroughly
familiar with the purpose and scope of work. The failure or omission of any BIDDER
to do any of the foregoing shall in no way relieve any BIDDER from any obligation in
respect to his BID. BIDDERS must satisfy themselves of the accuracy of the estimated
quantities in BID schedule by examination of the site and a review of the pictures and
