City of St. Albert - Negotiated Request for Proposal - Fire Services…

This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the City of St. Albert (the “City”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Fire Services Assessment, as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”).

This project is an assessment of three fields:

1) A detailed survey of response times within the City of St. Albert of fire apparatus responding from both existing and planned station locations, assessing response times based on current City Policy and recommended National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) response times.

2) Complete an assessment of St. Albert fire apparatus inventory by evaluating if the current level of apparatus is appropriate for the existing and projected call volumes and types, while comparing to existing and anticipated levels of risk throughout the city.

3) Using industry best practices, assess and recommend the required level of operational and administrative staff essential to meet both current and projected service levels, while ensuring operational readiness and administrative supports are in place, to serve the City of St. Albert.
