Sludge Hauling Bid 2025 S2025

Project Description: Mount Pocono Municipal Authority (MPMA) is accepting bids for removal of liquid sludge from the sewage treatment facility located at 1478 Pocono Blvd. (Route 611), Mt. Pocono, Monroe County, Pennsylvania.
Items the bidder must provide: $50,000.00 Bid Bond, Liability Insurance with a minimum of $5,000.00 limit per occurrence, all necessary permits for disposal of sludge, and a list of references.
The successful bidder will be required to: name MPMA as an additional insured on the Liability Insurance Policy, post a performance bond or letter of credit in a form satisfactory to the MPMA Solicitor covering the value of the particular bid and bid time duration, provide Liability Insurance and Performance Bond covering the entire contracted period, and assurance of satisfactory performance of the proposal, including saving harmless and indemnifying the MPMA from any fines, penalties, or administrative charges imposed on MPMA by any government agencies based upon improper actions of MPMA’s chemicals throughout the duration of the contract.
The bidder shall prepare the Sludge Hauling Bids for three (3) alternate costs, based on a six (6) month, one (1) year, and two (2) year contract period. Potential Bidders can bid on all or a portion of the Chemicals listed. All bids should be quoted on a “per gallon basis” that is provided on the Bid Document Form.
MPMA reserves the right to select a six-month, one-year, or two-year contract period. MPMA reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
The contract is to commence on June 1, 2025, for a term agreed upon by the MPMA Board of Directors.
The bids will be open March 6, 2025, at 8:00AM until April 8, 2025, at 4:00PM.
Bids will be publicly announced and read aloud at the MPMA Board meeting on April 11, 2025, located in the Municipal Building, 1361 Pocono Boulevard, Mount Pocono, PA 18344.
