Project Description: Sealed Qualifications will be accepted at the City of Waco’s Operations Center, 1415 N. 4th Street, Waco, TX until 2:00 P.M., Thursday, April 10, 2025. The City of Waco Smart Corridor Plan is a comprehensive effort led by the Waco Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) to develop a forward-looking, equitable, and technology driven transportation strategy for the region. The project encompasses a detailed assessment of corridor infrastructure, travel behavior, land use, and emerging technologies, with a strong emphasis on addressing equity and justice considerations. By integrating academic research, stakeholder input, and innovative planning approaches, the Smart Corridor Plan aims to create actionable solutions that enhance mobility, sustainability, and quality of life. The project includes the development of corridor typologies, multimodal and freight strategies, scenario planning, and a final implementation roadmap, all supported by a demonstration of smart technology applications.
A Non-Mandatory Pre-Qualifications meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 18, at 10:00 a.m., Via Zoom Video. For questions, please contact purchasing agent Paul Campos at pcampos@wacotx.gov or by phone at 254-750-8062.
