Invitation to Bid - Property Maintenance - 2026
The City of Lake Forest is seeking bids for services related to yard and vegetation
maintenance on properties that are identified by the City as being in violation of the
City Code. The properties may include those that are vacant or in foreclosure, and
properties that are under construction. The desired services may include mowing,
trimming, debris removal and other tasks necessary to bring the property into
compliance with the Code.
Maintenance work is done at the direction of the City of Lake Forest Code Enforcement
Officer on an as needed and on call basis. Request for service may begin upon award
of the contract and continue through November 30, 2026. Upon notification by the
Code Enforcement Officer that maintenance is needed at a specific property, work
shall commence within 5 business days (Monday through Friday) and be completed
within 10 business days. Properties with ongoing violations may be put on a regular
maintenance schedule.
Contractors must have a current City of Lake Forest Landscape License at the time of
bid opening. Bids are requested on a per hour basis, plus the cost of disposal of any
debris per yard and any other fees. Bids should be submitted to the attention of:

Bids will be opened at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, April 3, 2026, at the City of Lake Forest,
Municipal Services Building, 800 N. Field Drive, Lake Forest, Illinois.
