Higher Education Leadership for Statewide Broadband Strategy

The Ohio Department of Development’s BroadbandOhio (BBOH) office invites proposals from qualified 4-year Universities in the State of Ohio to house the Broadband & 5G sector partnership for the future and support continued implementation of the Broadband & 5G workforce strategy.

In consultation with The Governor’s Office of Workforce Transformation (“OWT”), Broadband Ohio and the Department of Development will administer the grant, including grant applications, monitoring/compliance, and grant disbursement. This competitive grant program is designed to identify a 4-year University to lead the Sector Partnership in consultation with OWT and Broadband Ohio. This competitive grant program will allocate a maximum of $3,750,000 to identify a 4-year university to lead the Sector Partnership through 2029 in consultation with OWT and BroadbandOhio.
