Title: CDBG Public Service - PS2526
Addenda: 0
Release Date: 9/9/2026
Due Date: 10/12/2026
The City of Pontiac, through its Community Development Department and Housing Vitality Division, is seeking qualified organizations to provide community-based public services that address identified needs and improve the quality of life for Pontiac residents. Funding is provided through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program for Program Years 2025–2026 and 2026–2027, with up to $347,407 available across the two program years.
The City is interested in organizations with demonstrated experience, strong community connections, and the capacity to deliver measurable results in areas such as workforce development, public safety and crime prevention, senior services, health services, substance abuse prevention or treatment, education, homelessness prevention and housing stability, youth recreation, and food assistance. Successful proposals will clearly demonstrate community need, CDBG eligibility, meaningful outcomes, and the ability to effectively serve Pontiac residents, particularly low- and moderate-income residents.
The City of Pontiac is committed to supporting programs and services that respond to the needs of its residents and strengthen neighborhoods throughout the community. Through its Community Development Department and Housing Vitality Division, the City administers federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). CDBG public service funding provides an opportunity for the City to partner with qualified organizations that have the experience, community presence, and capacity to deliver effective services and measurable benefits to Pontiac residents.
Applicants should demonstrate strong organizational capacity, sound program management, appropriate documentation and reporting systems, and the ability to operate on a reimbursement basis. Priority will be given to proposals that establish a clear connection between the proposed activity, an identified community need, the CDBG national objective, and measurable results. All activities funded through this RFP must comply with applicable HUD regulations, the CDBG program requirements, the City’s approved plans and policies, and all other applicable federal, state, and local requirements, including Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended, and 24 CFR Part 570.
