Notice to Contractors
Sealed BIDS for Sidewalk Improvements – Route 50 and Route CC addressed to State Technical College of Missouri, Attn:
Amy Ames, Vice President of Operations, One Technology Drive, Linn, MO 65051 will be received by State Technical College
until 2:00 P.M. (Prevailing Local Time) on the 14th day of April 2026, at the Building Technology Center – Nilges
Administration Wing – Conference Room 118, One Technology Drive, Linn, MO 65051, and at that time will be publicly opened
and read.
The proposed work includes: The construction of ADA compliant sidewalks and driveway approaches along Route 50 and
Route CC in Linn, MO. The project will utilize MoDOT Right-of-Way for construction of the sidewalk as well as temporary
construction easements for grading and tie-ins parallel to the proposed sidewalk.
All labor used in the construction of this public improvement shall be paid a wage no less than the prevailing hourly rate of
wages of work of a similar character in this locality as established by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations
(Federal Wage Rate), or state wage rate, whichever is higher.
State Technical College of Missouri hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into
pursuant to this advertisement, business owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals will be
afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of
race, color, religion, creed, sex, age, ancestry, or national origin in consideration for an award.
All bidders must be on MoDOT’s Qualified Contractor List per Section 102.2 from the current version of the Missouri Standard
Specifications for Highway Construction, including all revisions. The contractor questionnaire must be on file 7 days prior to bid
opening.
Contractors and sub-contractors who sign a contract to work on public works projects provide a 10-Hour OSHA construction
safety program, or similar program approved by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, to be completed by their on-
site employees within (60) days of beginning work on the construction project.
BIDDERS can access the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS through the State Tech Website following the steps below:
1. Go to www.statetechmo.edu
2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click “RFPs/Bidding Projects”
3. Select the project (Sidewalk Project)
4. Click “Download Bid Package”
5. If bidder has not previously created a DemandStar Account, they will be prompted to do so. A free basic account
option is available, so there is no cost to access the documents.
State Tech does not utilize the eBidding Submission Option. All bids must be submitted either:
1. Hand-delivered to designated office prior to bid opening, or
2. Mailed in advance to arrive before bid opening.

A certified or cashier’s check or a bid bond in the amount of 5% shall be submitted with each proposal.
State Technical College of Missouri reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
Proposals must be on forms provided.
The project will be awarded to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder.
The DBE goal for this project is 0% with no trainees.
No 2nd tier subcontracting will be allowed on this project.
