EXTENDED REALITY (XR) CONTENT GENERATION TOOLS FOR FLIGHTLINE MAINTENANCE

The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), Transformational Capabilities Office (TCO), Wright-Patterson AFB, OH, is conducting market research to identify potential sources that can develop and employ tools to assist users with Technical Orders and supplemental information for content generation, editing, and integration with third party XR applications. Specifically, this capability is envisioned to enable accomplishment of the technical orders by Department of Air Force maintainers who are not a specialist in the scope of the Technical Order. This capability would assist in minimizing content management of the supplemental information to Technical Orders (TOs) intended to enable their accomplishment. These tools can leverage capabilities of artificial intelligence/machine learning provided there is a description of how these algorithms will be trained and maintained to facilitate comprehension and ensure accuracy with the limited available data from existing TOs.
