Description

The Ministry is constructing a new office building and surrounding facilities at the Site, to provide a sufficient and healthy workspace for current and projected staffing levels. The Ministry is developing the Site to provide a more effective workplace environment by constructing a new office building with the goal of providing a modern and efficient space to house all activities and workplace needs to support BCWS operations for the Columbia Fire Zone. The Ministry has entered into a contract with a Construction Manager, who will act as the Ministry’s Representative for this Project and oversee the Project on the Ministry’s behalf. The Ministry also retained the services of an electrical engineer to coordinate with BC Hydro the design of a new electrical service for the new building.

The approved BC Hydro Civil Contractor shall install all BC Hydro supplied equipment for the new electrical service for the new office building including the pilaster, junction box, transformer base (concrete pad), bollards and counterpoise.  Note that BC Hydro will also supply/install the new pole, all primary and secondary cabling up to the customer service disconnect/meter base in the new building electrical room and also supply/install (i.e. wire) the pad mounted transformer and meter.
