NOTICE TO SOLE SOURCE: Purchase of Neptune Register from Ferguson US Holdings, Inc.

This is not a Request for Proposals and there is no solicitation available. The proposed contract action is for product or services for which the City intends to negotiate and award with only one source under the authority of the City of North Miami Beach City Code Section 3-4.8. Any responses received as a result of this Notice of Intent shall be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses will not be considered as proposals, bids, or quotes.

The Norwood Water Treatment Facility requires the installation and retro fit of a potable water Automated Meter Reading (AMR) system, with Neptune Technology Group designated as the supplier of meters and materials. Ferguson Waterworks is the sole authorized distributor of Neptune products in the State of Florida. The meters specified for this project include a proprietary Itron ERT connector uniquely configure making them incompatible with alternatives. Due to the proprietary nature of the equipment, the manufacturer’s exclusive distribution arrangement, and the need to maintain system compatibility, Ferguson is the only source capable of fulfilling this requirement without compromising operational integrity.
