Scope of Services
The Melbourne Airport Authority (MAA) is seeking to replace the MEP and HVAC systems within the original terminal that was constructed in 1989. Equipment has been prepurchased in the first phase of this multi-phase project. Phasing is based on the grant funding available from both State and Federal resources. This phase of work is to replace the Central Energy Plant (CEP) with an enclosed structure with new water cooled chillers and cooling towers on the roof. This phase of work will also create a new main distribution panel for the electrical serving the CEP and the existing 1989 terminal. A new generator, pre-purchased, will also be installed in this phase. This is a Lump Sum Contract. The successful bidder will be responsible for maintenance of traffic, coordination with other contractors that may be doing work within the area, and for providing maximum support to the Melbourne Airport Authority in maintaining their operations and other functions at times specified by the Owner during installation. Construction will occur while the airport is operational, and provisions will need to be made to accommodate existing airfield activities adjacent to the project zone.
