Project Description: Sealed Bids will be received electronically via PennBid by Greene Township for the Donation Road Bridge Replacement Project, Contract T-602-DR until 11:00 a.m. on December 11, 2025, at which time they will be opened electronically and a summary posted to the PennBid website.
The Work is generally described as follows: Bridge work includes the replacement of the existing prestressed concrete non-composite adjacent box beam superstructure. The new superstructure will consist of (4) 48” x 21” prestressed concrete composite spread box beams with an 8” cast-in-place concrete deck with vertical all barriers. Minor substructure work will also be performed including deteriorated concrete repairs, crack sealing, beam set modifications, and waterproofing. Minimal approach roadway work will also be included for the project.

There will be a pre-bid meeting for this project held at the Greene Township Building at 9333 Tate Road, Erie, PA 16509. The pre-bid meeting will take place on Monday, December 1, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. Attendance is strongly encouraged but not mandatory.
A certified check or bank draft, payable to Greene Township, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount equal to 10% of the total of the Bid shall be submitted with each Bid.
The Contractor must abide by all laws and regulations applicable to locally funded public contracts, including but not limited to equal employment opportunity. Prevailing wages will apply.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids and Bid Security may be held by the Owner for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of opening bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding the contract.
