NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Pleasant Hill will hold a public hearing at 6:00 p.m. on the 24 th day of March 2026, in the City Council Chambers, 5160 Maple Drive, Pleasant Hill, Iowa, to consider a proposal for the City to vacate the following described public street right-of-way:

THAT PORTION OF NE 52 ND COURT IN LOT 2 OF THE OFFICIAL PLAT OF THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER OF SECTION 34, TOWNSHIP 79 NORTH, RANGE 23 WEST OF THE 5 TH P.M., PLEASANT HILL, POLK COUNTY, IOWA, NORTH OF NE 12 TH AVENUE AND SOUTH OF THE FORMER RAILROAD ALL MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS: OUTLOT X IN SUNRIDGE PLAT No. 1, AN OFFICIAL PLAT AND A 20.00 FOOT WIDE STRIP OF LAND EAST OF AND ADJACENT TO SAID OUTLOT X AND A 20.00 FOOT WIDE STRIP OF LAND EAST OF AND ADJACENT TO PARCEL A AND PARCEL B AS SHOWN ON THE PLAT OF SURVEY RECORDED IN BOOK 7184 AT PAGE 841.

Comments from citizens will be heard at the hearing. Written comments must be filed at the City Clerk’s Office no later than 4:00 p.m. on Monday, March 23, 2026.
