QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS FOR 36C25025Q0267
We are inquiring about SDVOSB Set-Aside Solicitation Number 36C25025Q0267, which is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) and the intent is to award a firm fixed price for an Asbestos Survey for the Wade Park Campus. In the document, it refers to the scope as "Video Content Management solution educational and interaction support services."Â Â Is this a typo? Are there any other details available for the asbestos survey? ANSWER: This is a Typo
We are interested in bidding on the Asbestos Survey (36C25025Q0267) that was recently published on SAM.gov. Can you tell me if there are plans for a site walk of the location or will the published solicitation be the only information provided? If a site walk can be conducted, we will send a team out to perform an evaluation. ANSWER: At this time, the published solicitation will be the only information. Please continue to look on Contract Opportunities for further potential updates or information regarding this requirement.
Your solicitation instructs us to see Maps: (1. Basement), (2. First Floor), and (3. 2nd Floor) and additional steam pipe/chilled water mapping. Â Was there supposed to be maps with the SOW? ANSWER: Please see attachments
Are we to sample all materials that are suspect to meet NESHAP requirements. Can we knock holes in walls or ceilings to look for hidden materials? Answer: Yes, and no making exploratory holes.
Is the roof included? if yes, can we repair it ourselves with readily available roof patching supplies? Answer: Roof is not included.
Do you have a previous report you want us to use in any manner or does the VA desire a start from scratch report with samples collected like we have no previous data? Answer: We do have an older report, the issue is the room numbers and lay out as changed so more than likely not going to be a big help.
Also, if they have a room finish schedule, that would be useful. Or at least something that indicates how many different types of ceiling tile are in the building, and how many types of floor tile/flooring are in the building. For flooring, that includes color variations. Answer: At this time, a room finish schedule would be hard to do because we have so many different styles area to area.
Are we going to be able to access each area of the building as we need or are we going to need to work around patients in rooms and such? Yes, you will have to work around rooms that are occupied. Off hours might be better.
I know the request for a finish schedule might seem odd, but it has to do with the AHERA requirements. Under AHERA, we would need to collect and analyze three (3) samples of every type of ceiling tile within the inspection area. Same with flooring but adding to that is we need to collect and analyze 3 samples of each different color of the same tile. Answer: Please see answer above.
I'm assuming that since you're not providing the previous report or age of the building that we re to treat the entire building as subject to sampling and collect samples of all suspect materials? Please confirm. Yes, that is true. The original report is outdated and since we have done remodels it does not match existing layout.
