Jahnke Road Improvement

The City of Richmond is accepting bids for the construction of the Jahnke Road Improvement Project from Blakemore Road to Forest Hill Avenue. The work shall include clearing, grubbing and demolition of pavement to complete the project improvements. The scope of work shall provide roadway construction services that include, but are not limited to curb and gutter, raised landscaped median, pavement widening, ADA compliant sidewalks, an ADA compliant asphalt shared-use path, installation of a traffic signal, storm drainage improvements, signing and pavement markings, landscaping and significant water and sewer relocations. Detours and maintenance of traffic will be required as well as coordination with CSX railroad.

The Jahnke Road Improvement from Blakemore Road to Forest Hill Avenue will provide muti-modal infrastructure for vehicles, pedestrians, and bicyclists. The project goals are to improve safety, traffic flow, and aesthetics to enhance livability for those who travel Jahnke and the children who attend the three schools along the route.
