SENIOR PROGRAM OFFICER
The U.S. Department of the Treasury is seeking detail-oriented administrative and program support staff to serve as a Senior Program Officer (Senior PO) for its Washington, DC-based technical assistance program. The person selected will be hired under a personal services contract.
The Office of Technical Assistance provides technical assistance to over 50 countries in five functional areas: economic crimes, government debt and infrastructure finance, budget and financial accountability, banking and financial services, and revenue administration. OTA carries out its technical assistance projects in developing and transitional countries through both resident and intermittent advisors.
The Senior Program Officer is a headquarters-based position supporting a wide range of international technical assistance projects. In addition to fulfilling all core Program Officer responsibilities, the Senior PO supports OTA leadership across a broad range of programmatic and administrative functions and serves as a key resource to Program Officers, providing guidance to promote timely action and consistent alignment with office-wide policies, goals, and customer service standards.
SCOPE OF POSITION
Senior Program Officers provide a comprehensive slate of contracting, budgeting, travel, administrative and logistical support for multiple overseas projects. Additionally, they perform analytical studies and operational program resource work, conduct and coordinate special projects, provide training and support to OTA’s Program Officers, and provide management with a variety of support functions.
The position is located in Washington, DC. Some international travel may be expected.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will have an undergraduate degree in public administration, international affairs, or other relevant subject matter; and at least five years of related work experience, preferably in U.S. government foreign assistance.

SALARY: In accordance with program regulations and based on demonstrated salary history, salaries range from $57.78 to $75.11 per hour.
Background checks and Security Clearance: Secret
Candidates will need to be eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate level of security clearance.
Successful applicants must be able to obtain State Department medical clearance for worldwide travel.
