This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items/services prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) subpart 12.6, “Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items or Services”, and FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested. This solicitation number is 5000223507 and is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ).
The National Distribution Center (NDC) of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), hereinafter referred to as the "Government," purchased four new folder inserters and six high-capacity feeders on July 15, 2017. The IRS has a requirement to maintain these folder inserters and feeders beginning February 27, 2026, through February 26, 2027. This solicitation will result in a firm fixed price requirement contract for one year. The Government intends to award a contract to the responsible manufacturer-authorized offeror with the lowest evaluated price, satisfactory performance record, and can meet all the requirements listed on the statement of work (SOW). This requirement is set-aside for small businesses.
Sources who believe they can provide the product/service listed in the Statement of Work (SOW) must submit a price quote and respond to all highlighted sections in writing (see attached) no later than 4:00pm EST on Monday, February 9th, 2026, to Contracting Officer, James.M.Tryniak@irs.gov
Vendors must submit all questions in writing by 12:00 PM EST on Friday, January 30, 2026.
The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) for this acquisition is: 811310, Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (EXCEPT AUTOMOTIVE AND ELECTRONIC) Repair and Maintenance. The small business size standard is $12.5 Million dollars. The PSC Code is J074.
