ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed Bids for the construction of the Berryville Downtown Sidewalks will be received, by The City of Berryville, Arkansas, at the office of the City Hall located at 305 East Madison, until 2:00 p.m. local time on January 7th, 2026, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project consists of constructing approximately 1,050 lineal feet of new sidewalk including cross walks, approximately 930 lineal feet of new concrete curb and gutter, road striping, storm sewer modifications, and sanitary sewer relocation.
Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis.
The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: Engineering Services, Inc., 1207 S. Old Missouri Road, Springdale, Arkansas 72765, (479) 751-8733. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents online at www.engineeringservices.com or through QuestCDN. Bidding Documents may also be examined at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Bidding Documents also may be examined at the office of the City of Berryville City Hall, on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Printed copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office, during the hours indicated above, upon payment of a non-refundable charge of $150.00 for each set. Electronic copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained at www.engineeringservices.com or through QuestCDN. Checks for Bidding Documents shall be payable to “Engineering Services, Inc.”. Upon request and receipt of payment indicated above plus a non-refundable shipping charge, the Issuing Office will transmit the Bidding Documents via delivery service. The shipping charge amount will depend on the shipping method selected by the prospective Bidder. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.
BIDDERS ARE ADVISED that BUILD AMERICA BUY AMERICA PROVISIONS apply to this contract. The Arkansas Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Highway Construction, latest edition, Section 106 contains the requirements and restrictions for Build America Buy America. 23 CFR §635.410 contains all federal requirements for Build America Buy America. City hereby notifies all bidders that this contract is subject to applicable labor laws, non-discrimination provisions, wage rate laws, and other federal laws including the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938. The Work Hours Act of 1962 and Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 also apply. BIDDERS ARE ADVISED that Arkansas State Contractor Licensing Law applies to this project. Subcontractors are also required to be licensed according to Arkansas State Law. Licensure is not required to submit a bid; however, evidence of licensure shall be provided to the Owner prior to signing the contract.
Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
