NOTICE TO BIDDERS
CITY OF KIRKSVILLE, MISSOURI
2025 ASPHALT CONSTRUCTION AND REPAIRS PROJECT NO. ST-25-001
Sealed bids will be received at the office of the City Clerk, Kirksville City Hall, 201 S. Franklin St., Kirksville, Missouri until 3:00 P.M. local time Thursday, June 5, 2025 at which time bids for the installation of the above project will be publicly opened and read aloud.
The major proposed work includes:
Asphalt paving of approximately 3500 tons of asphalt surface; 25,600 lineal feet of saw cut existing; 26,000 lineal feet of edge milling; and 1800 SY of full width milling of existing surface.
All equipment, material and workmanship must be in accordance with the Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents on file with the City Clerk, Kirksville, Missouri, and the office of the Engineer.
Copies of the Contract Documents required for bidding purposes may be obtained from the City Engineering Department, 201 S. Franklin Street, Kirksville, MO 63501-3580.
A certified check on a solvent bank or a bid bond by a satisfactory surety in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid must accompany each proposal, and shall be considered the Bid Security.
The successful bidder shall at the time of the execution of the Contract furnish separate performance and payment bonds in a sum equal to the contract amount payable to the City of Kirksville, Missouri, and shall be considered Contract Security.
No bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of ninety (90) calendar days after the bid opening date.
The City reserves the right to refuse any bid for any reason. Past performance will be considered in the selection process. No award is final until formally approved by the City Council.
All proposals arriving at the designated office after the deadline specified will not be considered and will be returned unopened.
All wages paid for work under this contract shall comply with requirements of the prevailing wage law of the State of Missouri (MO Public Law 290, Section 290.210 through 290.340 and Section 290.550 through 290.580).
