RE: SEPTA Request for Proposal (RFP)
SEPTA has completed the final solicitation documents, with updates to the
standard Terms and Conditions. The RFP package release is now anticipated
in April of 2026.
SEPTA recognizes and appreciates your company's continued interest and
patience in awaiting the release of the procurement.
DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT & CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY
The existing Automatic Train Control (ATC) system in service on SEPTA's L-
Line (Market-Frankford Subway Elevated (MFSE)) is approaching its end of life
and SEPTA is planning for its replacement.
The current ATC system was completed in 2003 as part of a major upgrade of
the MFSE that included extensive improvements to the elevated structure.
This project aims to replace the current ATC system.
SEPTA is requiring all Contractors interested in obtaining a copy of the RFP to
submit a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). The NDA will be provided in the RFP
announcement.
Plans for several Sites visits will be included in the RFP, SEPTA is requiring all
contractors / vendors to have RWP certification. Please direct all RWP training
