Description:
This is a Request for Information (RFI) issued solely for information and planning purposes. This notice does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP), Invitation for Bid (IFB), or Request for Quote (RFQ). This RFI does not obligate the Department of Energy (DOE) to award a contract, nor will the Government pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this notice.
The Department of Energy (DOE) is seeking information from qualified contractors who can provide a Plura Pump Operator to support ongoing epoxy coating work inside a water tower. The contractor would be expected to furnish a qualified technician experienced with operating and maintaining Plural Component Spray Pump Systems (e.g., Graco XP70 or equivalent) used for applying epoxy coatings in confined and elevated environments.
Background:
The DOE is undertaking a project to apply epoxy coatings to the interior surfaces of an elevated water tower, in order to meet operational, safety, and durability standards. Due to the technical complexity of applying two-component epoxy coatings in a controlled environment, the contractor must have expertise in operating Plura Pump systems, adjusting mix ratios, ensuring consistent spray patterns, and performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
