NOTICE TO SOLE SOURCE - GENFARE, SPX CORPORATION LICENSE, MAINTENANCE, AND SUPPORT SUBSCRIPTIONS

Project Description: Transit Authority of River City intends to establish a sole source procurement with Genfare, SPX Corporation to provide design, build and install an Automated Fare Collection System.
TARC is seeking an experienced and qualified firm to design, build and install an Automated Fare Collection System (“AFCS”) for its fixed route and paratransit operations that utilizes electronic media, such as contactless smart cards. The following objectives, specifications and other requirements are set forth as a minimum standard for this procurement. As a result of this request for proposals (RFP), TARC intends to acquire the system and support it deems best meets its long-term goals and objectives.
The prospective Proposer should consider these requirements as a minimum standard for the AFCS TARC intends to procure and implement.
Any and all items required for a completely functional system, whether or not they are specifically called out in this RFP, shall be included in the Proposer’s technical and cost submittal.
Proposers shall only include in their response products that conform to current industry standards
