The purpose of this contract is to assist PWD's Bureau of Laboratory Services in developing and revising capabilities for conducting microplastic analyses both in-house and with the help of an outside laboratory. After the appropriate methodology is selected, a regular monitoring program will be conducted to determine the long-term trends of microplastics in drinking water. This will help inform PWD and the water industry on accurate and recent data.
