Piper USD 203 is requesting quotations for the modernization of one (1) two-stop hydraulic elevator located at Piper Middle School.

REQUEST FOR QUOTATION

In accordance with the specifications, the undersigned agrees to provide the items described on the Bid Form at a location designated by Piper School District #203 (District).  The District reserves the right to reject all bids and/or make more than one award on the basis of this bid.  Award(s) will be made to the lowest responsible bidder of the lump sum price.  Bids must be firm for a period of 90 (NINETY) days following the bid opening.

1. The Board of Education reserves the right to select or reject any and/or all bids containing alternate proposals; to waive any informality in proposals; and to reject or accept any and/or all bids as shall in its judgment be to the best interest of the District.
2. Bidders are cautioned to show the total price on the Bid Form and to sign the Bid Form.
3. Prices shall not include sales tax, excise taxes, or any other taxes for which the District is not liable.  The District will execute any necessary exemption certificates.
4. If applicable, the Contractor shall secure and pay for all necessary permits and fees required for construction/installation.
5. If bid is in excess of $100,000.00 a surety bond shall be required.

Description:

Piper USD 203 is requesting quotations for the modernization of one (1) two-stop hydraulic elevator located at Piper Middle School.

The scope of work shall include, at a minimum, the following:

• Furnish and install a new elevator controller.
• Remove and replace all elevator wiring.
• Furnish and install a new hydraulic power unit.
• Furnish and install a new door operator package.
• Replace related door hardware, including closers, locks, and interlocks, while retaining the existing hoistway door panels. Replace door rollers as required.
• Perform a cab interior renovation, including new wall panels, handrails, and an LED drop ceiling selected from the manufacturer's standard finish options.
• Furnish and install new ADA-compliant signal fixtures.
• Replace the hydraulic cylinder packing and hydraulic oil.
• Perform all required testing, adjustments, inspections, and final commissioning to deliver a fully operational elevator in compliance with all applicable codes and standards.

Please provide a time line of completion once the contract is signed.

Piper USD 203 is requesting pricing on Fire Systems and building backflow preventer inspections.

Services to include inspections for the following:

Water line sizes from 1 inch to 8 inch.  If pricing is different per size, please include pricing for each size.
