City of Statesville Advertisement for Bids: Repair a Sinkhole on Front and Tradd St

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

It is the policy of the City of Statesville to provide 7 days advance notice prior to advertising the formal Invitation To Bid (ITB); therefore, the ITB of Front and Tradd St emergency sinkhole repairs will be sent out on April 18th, 2025. Pursuant to N.C.G.S. 143-129, sealed bid proposals will be received by the City of Statesville at the City Office 301 S. Center St, Statesville, NC 28677 at or before 2:00 p.m. EST. on Friday May 2nd, 2025, in the 2nd Floor Training Room at 301 S. Center St. at which time and place the bids shall be publicly opened and read. A minimum of (3) bids must be received in order to open all bids. An optional, hybrid, pre-bid meeting will be held on April 22nd, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. EST, in the 2nd Floor Training Room at 301 S. Center St. A Teams link will be provided in the formal ITB on April 18th, 2025.

General Scope of this work includes but is not limited to repairing sewer and storm lines at the intersection of Tradd and Front Street.

Contractors must be properly licensed per Chapter 87 of the North Carolina General Statutes.

Pursuant to General Statute 143-48 and Executive Order #150, The City of Statesville invites and encourages participation in this procurement process by businesses owned by minorities, women, disabled, disabled business enterprises and non-profit work centers for the blind and severely disabled.

Bidding Documents may be viewed and ordered online on April 18th, 2025; by registering with Duncan Parnell on behalf of the City of Statesville via their bid room https://bidroom.duncan-parnell.com/ . Registration with Duncan Parnell is required to obtain the bid documents and be added to the official Plan Holder’s List. Addenda notification will be sent to those buying full sets from Duncan Parnell via their bid room. The cost of bidding documents and shipping is non-refundable. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for copies of the bid documents obtained from sources other than Duncan Parnell. Bidder is responsible for timely delivery of their bid.
